Table Mountain was the beginning of our second day. It is listed as one one the New seven wonders of nature, and it is spectacular. Rising roughly 2300 meters in a short four mile hike, OR you can take the tram pictured above. Mrs Bear, who hates to wait, absconded with her elder granddaughter and scaled it. The rest of us were content to walk the rocky trails at the top, which provided views of the city and Atlantic Ocean on one side, and the Cape of Good Hope on the other. In between, the flat surface of the mountain yields to a series of escarpments which are called “the twelve apostles.” Enjoy the photos as we enjoyed the views !!!
