Flying from New Zealand to Honolulu is a red eye experience. We actually flew back to Sydney, and then nonstop to Hawaii on a 11 hour, overnight flight. About two hours from Oahu, I woke up to snap the pic below of the sun rising:
Arriving, we had this view of the sunset on our first night from our balcony:
Tough to take, but someone needs to see this !!
